I am an avid reader of paranormal romance, with a particular love for young adult books. I love the easy reads, the great "coming into one's power" story lines that resonate with the work I do in helping folks actualize their goals and dreams therapeutically. I like the limit in sexually explicit depictions of intimacy. I've had my go at the likes of Larrell K. Hamilton & others and find I can get through only so much BDSM and erotica before I become bored. I'd rather be enticed by hints and suggestive good writing these days. I appreciated that this author gave us a peek into Sophia's intimate life but did not overemphasize or drag out the intimacies. I poured through this book in 2 sittings. The author nailed it somatically for me. I really enjoyed hearing Sophia’s internal dialogue, her euphemisms, her humor, her self-awareness, her willingness to be human. The writing made me feel like I was there with Sophia and her life. I loved the tension! I knew something was coming that was going to excite me, move me, piss me off, or make me cry. This author did not disappoint. And I think the ending she chose was great. I felt the struggle to pull it all together, and it worked wonderfully. Looks like I've got a new author to follow!

This book was well written, very cohesive and flowed very nicely. The story just draws one in, and before you know it you have spent a few hours waiting to see what happens next with the main characters. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to just escape into a captivating story.

Head out to the back deck with your sunglasses, an iced beverage and this book. Escape into the adventurous world Sofia Madison. Sofia lives in a little blue beach cottage in sunny, Southern California. Her whirlwind life is filled with travel, romance, youthful ambition and creative pursuits. The book is well paced. It delivers interesting characters and intriguing plot twists. A page turner from beginning to end... a perfect summer read!

I could not put the book down. By the first chapter, I was already hooked. I had to know what was going to happen next. I was captivated by the author's descriptive words along with the twist and turns. The author made me feel every emotion of Sofia Madison, as if I were her. A must read! I look forward to all future books by this author.

Such a good read! Sat down thinking I would just read a chapter here and there and ended up finishing the book in one sitting.
